We are relentless about our quality procedures, and have adopted stringent control measures to maintain the highest international standards.  All Cheetham Salt manufacturing sites are certified to the ISO9001 quality management system and food salt manufacturing sites certified to the HACCP standard. HACCP is a risk assessment based approach to food safety and quality which focuses on identifying and preventing problems before they occur rather than rectifying a problem after it has happened.

It is through this commitment to quality assurance that our products are trusted throughout many international markets with strict import and quality regulations. Japanese food quality standards are by far the highest in the world and we have proudly supplied Japan for many years. Today, Japan continues to be one of our largest export markets.

Ocean Fine Salt
Ocean Fine Salt is a dried, naturally evaporated sea salt suitable for human consumption complying with the Australian Food Standards Code. This product is a translucent to white solid consisting of fine crystals with a mean particle size of approx. 0.35 mm. Produced in Australia by natural solar evaporation of seawater, our products are double washed, dried, sieved and graded to give clean, accurately defined and consistent particle sizes.

Mermaid Crushed Coarse
Mermaid Crushed Coarse Salt is naturally evaporated solar salt. This product is a translucent to white solid, with a mixture of coarse to fine crystals. It has a mean particle size of approx. 2.7mm and packaged in accordance with good manufacturing practice under a quality system that complies with IS0 9002.

Crown Dairy Salt
Crown Dairy Salt is a dried, naturally evaporated sea salt suitable for human consumption complying with the Australian New Zealand Food Standards Code 2.10.2. This product is a translucent to white solid, with a texture of medium fine granules and a mean particle size of approx. 0.45 mm.

Antarctic Sea Salt
This fine granular salt is specifically manufactured for overseas markets. With an average particle size 0.35 mm, Antarctic Sea Salt is suitable for human consumption and complies with the Australian Food Standards Code.

Nigari – Magnesium Chloride
"Nigari" is higher quality magnesium brine suitable for food use. Nigari is commonly used in the production of tofu and can also be used a seasoning or in miso soup. Sold in a liquid, we proudly export this product to Japan as it meets all international import and quality standards.
